While I agree with your core point about how we mustn't capitulate and wilt in the shadows of fascists or right-wing bullies, I think many people on the Left and in the Center are ignorant about the immediate legislative reforms (or, at least, the push to move the national discourse in that direction) that could be our only shot at preventing a complete governmental takeover by evangelicals, fundamentalists, and their enablers.
