To add to that:

Democrats would be wise to put out the message of "Demand Better!" as sort of a call-to-action for activists and concerned citizens to be able to hold their government (as a whole) accountable...rather than backslide into the regressive mindset reminiscent of the Tea Party.

This would be a better alternative to the condescending message of 2010 and 2014, which was essentially: "Just be grateful that Democrats helped you to get rid of Bush; and stop whining because you didn't get everything on your 'Christmas list'..."

Because the latter attitude has worked so well at winning downticket races in '10, '14, '16, and '20, right?
