Yes, Will could have and should have spoken to Chris offcamera -- although Will still would have been raked over the coals by a lot of people who felt (based on what THEY did/didn't witness) that he didn't do anything or didn't do enough to "defend Jada's honor." But, once Will had lost his temper and the damage was done...the question is: where should we (as a society) have gone, from there, as far as our discussions of what happened.

I've been disappointed -- and outright disgusted -- by the turns that several of those discussions have taken, ever since.
