Well, I think it was moreso Traditionalists and Boomers, as parents, who were "helicoptering" their Gen Y kids and Gen Z grandkids. Gen X was sort of caught in the middle.

Sure, there may have been some Xer parents following those dubious trends when it came to parenting their Zoomer children...but I think the trend itself had picked up steam long before Gen Z emerged into the world...and it's only continued as Gen Z has ended and Gen AA has emerged.
