Well, I will leave it up to bisexual & asexual people to address that, since I can't speak from a bisexual or an asexual perspective myself. But even though I've only been attracted to the same sex throughout my life, I trust other people to be honest about what they share regarding their own experiences. If they say their bisexuality or asexuality is natural, I believe them.

Just for clarification, since I'm not extremely familiar with the U.K.'s educational system: are single-sex schools a staple for those "middle grades" that you cited, across the nation? Or are your schools largely operating based on local decisions, when it comes to enrollment demographics of the student body?

Also, since you worked in education: have you heard any complaints or unique challenges from the perspectives of other teachers or from students themselves, regarding all-male or all-female classrooms?
