Well, I would push back and say that "White" has become a very SUBJECTIVE classification.

People with paler skin may mistake anyone with even slightly darker skin than them as People of Color...even if they are White Italians or Greeks who just have very tanned skin.

People with very dark skin may peg tan-skinned, olive-skinned, and even light brown-skinned people as "White."

Lighter-to-medium-skinned people (Latino, Asian, Persian, Middle Eastern, some Indigenous) view themselves as People of Color because they are darker than White people -- but Black and Brown people with darker skin pigments may view anybody with lighter skin pigmentations (than their own) as "White."

The whole thing is really quite ridiculous.
