Well, if a private business wants to exempt a religious organization from paying sales tax -- that should be the individual business owner's prerogative (as long as they're willing to eat the difference in sales tax, themselves).

But the property tax laws need to be changed, in that case -- because it could lead to a slippery slope where everyone and anyone claims to be a "religious organization" in order to avoid paying property taxes.
