Yes, and I stand by that.
When someone has experienced oppression or discrimination, they should speak honestly and bluntly about their truths regarding what they've endured (if they wish to share, that is) -- but doing so doesn't necessitate them additionally pigeonholing/demonizing EVERYONE who happens to cosmetically/incidentally belong to the same group as the person(s) who discriminated against them.
Since you claim to be someone who values "civility," one would think you'd agree with this philosophy (unless the "civility" you speak of is only displayed in a manner of which you personally approve).
