Yes, but abortion isn't akin to an elective cosmetic surgery. It's an extremely emotional and taxing decision, and shouldn't be taken lightly.
I agree with you that the woman could have prevented the pregnancy by abstaining from sex; but, since she assumes more risk DURING the pregnancy, she is a much greater stakeholder during those nine months than the biological father is.
Once the child has been born, the burden becomes a lot more equalized by the biological mother and biological father -- which is why they BOTH should have an opt-out window upon notification of the pregnancy. I would also support giving the woman an additional opt-out window, post-delivery, equivalent to one that the man is given after he is officially notified of the pregnancy.
