Yes, I definitely agree with you there, Fred.

The problem is that a certain delegation of the political Left is trying to narrowly link "antiracism" to the blind acceptance of a premise that "racism" (by definition) can ONLY be systemic.

They're unwilling to even entertain the possibility that racism can be multilayered and present in multiple iterations: systemic (oppressing exclusively BIPOC), social (inflicted upon and experienced by individuals of every race), and cultural (inflicted upon and experienced by any racial group, via groupthink).

Anytime anything remotely racially-motivated happens to a White person, they want to trivialize it as mere "prejudice" in order to gaslight and character-assassinate a White person who could have a legitimate qualm (whereupon nobody is coming to their defense).

This doesn't mean we should ignore the systemic; on the contrary, fighting against systemic racism is extremely necessary and moral. But it also doesn't mean we should disregard the social and cultural forms of racism in the same fell swoop. Two things can be true at the same time.
