Yes! I'd apply the same principle for ANY "-ism" that exists.

I tell people: don't bend over backwards to insist you're innocent of something. Just let your words and actions naturally speak for themselves, and most people (at least, the rational ones) will come to regard you as an ally or a future-ally-who's-learning.
