You know, I'd never thought about that possibility...but since you raised it as a scenario, it does make sense (in hindsight). The only thing that makes me somewhat doubt that scenario is that I'm not sure what they would have been doing in an academic building (reserved for humanities lectures/classes), if they'd been visiting a gay son on-campus. It just seems like a strange place to run into them, as opposed to inside one of the residence halls itself or in the student union or in the library.

But then again, I suppose they could have hypothetically been in the humanities building for any number of reasons. I guess I'm just still gobsmacked about how the student (me!) whom she randomly asked "Are you gay?" ended up being exactly that! It truly was an occurrence of Fate and/or Destiny.
