You make a valid point, that I should have put some sort of footnote or qualifier within the article as to what I'd meant by that phrasing.

What I was trying to describe were people who use their identity (and related attributes) per se as a weapon to bully others into deferring to their perspective without debate or discussion. And it's very possible there was a better form of existent wording that I could have used, instead. It's something I'll need to keep in mind for future articles.
