You raise a lot of very strong and solid points throughout this piece.
A couple of caveats I'd bring to your attention:
Would a good father be understanding of the POSSIBILITY that his child may not wish to raise kids of their own? (while still teaching his child to uphold good values in all other areas of life)
Shouldn't a good father recognize the statistical possibility that his child may be attracted to people of the same sex, and be supportive of the scenario where one of his kids realizes they are gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender -- while still teaching them good values alongside of that support?
