You're absolutely correct that right-wing grifters are trying to weaponize the term "woke" by turning it into an amorphous, open-ended insult that they can wield against their enemies whenever they feel it's convenient.

But there is definitely an illiberal misappropriation of so-called "wokeness" from many leftists. Basically, various iterations of liberals and progressives telling everybody else to "Get woke!" as a go-to shutdown with zero context or nuance. I distinguish this as "hyperwoke" behavior...rather than "woke" by itself under the original definition of its meaning:
