You're right -- if America had fought antisemitism in the leadup to World War II (and hadn't enabled Axis Nations), millions of people who perished in concentration camps could have had their lives saved.
The point is that, in all likelihood, death by gas chamber would have been a probable fate for Anne Frank had Bergen-Belsen not been liberated by Allied forces. It certainly was the abominable outcome for countless Holocaust prisoners.
My point remains the same: If someone is telling a person in a concentration camp to "Count their blessings" before they are put to death, their priorities are fucked up.
