You're right that many Millennials and Zoomers take for granted the aesthetics and ambiances of the late-90s and early-aughts that we either don't remember very well or (for some individuals) may have preceded their births. But the other side of it is: Because we have the Internet and its breadth of availability, younger generations can research and glimpse back at such nostalgia -- and then figure out if there are ways to repurpose those concepts in the present.
