You've immaculately deconstructed so many of the problems with both "sides" of the CRT debate, Jelani.
For me, I don't oppose CRT per se. Virtually everything embodied within BLM's "Campaign Zero" platform is entirely reasonable, toward the goal of advancing racial justice.
My biggest objection with many (not all, obviously) pro-CRT folks is the following: why should students be indoctrinated with the rigid worldview that racism can *only* be systemic? Why can't we look at racism in a more multifaceted and multilayered context, evaluating (and delineating) systemic, social, and cultural forms of racism into subcategories based on each context?
