The problems with our current education system, that you cite in this piece, are the types of realities that I faced in K-12. I suppose I'm lucky that I found a way to excel, in light of my trauma and anxiety. Sometimes, I wonder how differently my life would have gone if I'd been able to attend a Montessori or Waldorf school.
