Zoomers seem to be evenly split between those who want to be sheltered from emotional/uncomfortable content versus those who are openly willing to embrace it with courage and an inquisitive mind...to LEARN FROM the things that cause them sadness or rage.
Millennials (Gen Y) were the original guinea pigs of such social conditioning. The so-called "participation trophies" of which we get accused of craving were actually foisted upon us, usually against our will, by our Baby Boomer and Traditionalist ("Silent Generation") parents.
